Help preserve grandma's recipes
for the next generation

About This Project

"Grandma's Recipes" is an independent media project documenting traditional Japanese home cooking before it disappears.

Across Japan, elderly women hold recipes that have never been written down — dishes perfected over decades, using intuition instead of measurements, passed on by watching rather than reading.

We travel across the country to meet these grandmothers, recording their recipes, stories, and the cultural wisdom behind every dish — preserving them in their own words for future generations.
